Festival Opens

We are excited to bring this three day event back to the Port Matilda area. There will be games, food, a dunk tank, and all of the things listed below. Thank you in advance for your support. Covid-19 precautions are asked to be followed and we look forward to having fun with all of you.

Kid’s Parade

Thursday, October 1, 2020, 6:00 PM

Help us kick off our first Port Matilda Fire Co. Fall Festival with our kids parade. All kids under 16 years of age are invited to bring their ride on vehicles or bicycles, whatever they want as long as they are not gas. Registration and line up will be in front of the Port Matilda Elementary School from 5:30 to 6:00. Parade will proceed to Main St. then to the Fire Co Carnival Grounds.

DJ Marlin Neff

Join us on the first night of our Fall Festival as DJ Marlin Neff helps kick off the festivities by announcing the Kid’s Parade and follows it up with your favorite tunes.

DJ Marlin Neff continues to “spin” your favorite tunes as the carnival kicks celebrates Friday night festivities.

Craft Show

Saturday, October 3, 2020, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

As an extra we have decided to add a Craft and Vendor Show the last day of the festival. Vendors will be available from 11:00 to 6:00.

DJ Marlin Neff takes the stage again around 4:00 P.M. starting with announcing the parade, followed by your favorite tunes, then concluding his week with us by handing out the parade awards around 7:00 PM.

Parade

We will kick off the last day of our Fall Festival by bringing a parade back to Port Matilda. It will start at the Port Matilda Borough Building then proceed down High Street to the light, turning right onto Plank Road. It will then turn left onto Main Street, ending after it passes the Festival Grounds. Please keep this in mind when attending due to the slight change in the route from years past. If you have a group, antique car, tractor, float, etc. that wants to participate in the procession please call the station and somebody will be in contact with you for details.

Kenton Stitch Band

Port Matilda Fire Company is happy to announce the headline show for our 2020 Fall Festival. If you are a country music fan you are not going to want to miss this show. Come out and help us welcome national opener and recording artist The Kenton Stitch Band. They will perform a lot of country music’s best music including their own radio hit, “Lover and a Fighter.” If you have not seen or heard these guys, please visit their website at https://kentonsitchband.com/. As a bonus we will get to see our local born and raised Brett Rodkey playing the guitar and singing back up vocals. YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS THIS SHOW!

Fireworks

Help us end our weekend of fun and entertainment by bringing back our fireworks show. In cooperation with Halls Fireworks, we will close out the festival with a fireworks show. They will follow the Kenton Stitch Band at approximately 10:30. We will have all drawings immediately following the fireworks.

  • 3rd Prize – Weatherby Vanguard Synthetic. Choice of caliber, blued, synthetic stock. Or cash value of $460.00.
  • 4th Prize – Sig Sauer P365 Semi-auto, black frame and slide, 9mm pistol. Or cash value of $440.00.
  • 5th Prize – Smith & Wesson M&P 15Sport II AR, 5.56mm, flat top with sights, blued, Sny. adjustable stock, 30 round magazine. Or cash value of $560.00.

Guns provided by Noll’s Gun Shop in Spring Mils. Gun winners choose to either accept the gun won or take the cash value indicated on the ticket. Prizes must be picked up within sixty days or the prize will be forfeited to the Port Matilda Fire Company. All sales tax, shipping costs (if required), and background fees are the responsibility of the prize winner. Must be 18 or older to purchase tickets and win prizes. Only 500 tickets printed. Tickets and prizes are non-transferable.

The festival concludes with the drawings of chances including the 5 Gun Giveaway and the 2nd Annual Meat Raffle around 11:00 PM following the fireworks.
